The game has a very engaging back story, that started with 9-year-old Alan Johnk, the creator being unsatisfied with the carnage of Christmas morning. As he tells it,
“Growing up, my sister and I would wake up early, rush down the stairs, and tear open each present with our names on them. Within minutes, we were sitting in a pile of empty boxes and wrapping paper. Christmas had flown by, but something always felt like it was missing. I soon realized Christmas was about more than just receiving presents. It was a time to slow down, create memories, and cherish our relationships with friends and family. This got me thinking - what could I do to make Christmas last longer and be more enjoyable and meaningful? That’s when I thought of Santa’s Little Helpers Game! I created the first board game on a piece of craft paper as a gift for my mom, and we have enjoyed playing it every year since. I wanted to share the joy this game has brought us with families around the world, so I spent the last year working with my father to make it into a playable board game for everyone to enjoy."
Alan’s back story plays to the fears and aspirations of young mothers and compels them to want to purchase the game to enhance their Christmas experience. It is also an ideal gift for parents and grandparents to give to their children with young families. It also makes a great white elephant gift.

Santa’s Little Helpers’ Game is just the beginning. Our vision is to continue to let the SLH fantasy world evolve into a Christmas hub, introduce expansion packs for the Naughty and Nice Elf cards, a Santa’s little Helpers Elf (Think Elf on A Shelf) to look after the kids during the Christmas holiday, and create a full featured website that extends the SLH fantasy to the digital arena, offering a Santa Tracker, customized Letters from Santa, SLH merchandise and other Christmas related fun.

We believe that every child deserves Christmas fun and memories. As a result, a portion of the profits from every game will be donated to children’s charities throughout the year. It is our hope to distribute free games to children in need in the 160 countries that celebrate Christmas.
